One of the TV shows in our Netflix rotation is Bones, it’s like the X-Files on valium. It’s got a handsome FBI agent, a pretty female doctor that have polar opposite personalities and they solve crimes, there is even some underlying sexual tension tossed in. But Bones involves bodies in various states of decomposition not UFOs and monsters. And it is more like the usual approved for the widest TV audience possible than the ground breaking series the X-Files was.
The one thing that always annoyed me about the show was the intro. As the theme music played (Massive Attack must have a deal with Fox) they showed a montage of the characters in scenes from the show as the actor’s names are flashed on the screen. Trouble was, they weren’t in sync, David Boreanaz’s name over the image of Emily Deschanel, etc. Annoying.
We received Disc 1 of Season 2 last week and I guess I wasn’t the only one who found that practice bothersome, the names and faces now lined up.

The last several movies we’ve gotten from netflix have been lame. I’m looking for some good suggestions (this WON’T be one of them, my wife would flip).

Sometimes I run into streaks like that too. When I run into something I don’t like I have no qualms about hitting the eject button. Of my 490 rentals I have not finished 104 for an average DNF of 21.2%.
Because the membership fee is on the credit card I don’t really see it like the 3 bucks at the video store, so I am a little less discriminate when filling up my Netflix queue. Take a lot of chances on independent & foreign titles.

We only have to 1 at a time rental, so if we get a bad movie, it’s gone for 3 to 4 days. On a good week, we can get 2 movies a week. But sitting down to watch a movie takes a lot of work on our part, so it gets disappointing.
Thanks for adding me to netflix friends. I’ll check out your recommendations!

We are on the 2 at a time and are still lucky to get two discs in a week right now because most night’s I listen to the Red Sox on the internet.
Just glanced at the recent movies and how you rated them and I’m not so sure my recommendations are going to be up your alley.
Of my 6 friends the one that has the most similarity to me is at 68% and he and I are constantly remarking how dissimilar our movie tastes are…
