On our 2007 Northwest Trip we borrowed some friend’s Travelocity Gnome and took him on an adventure…

Gnorm and Queen Charlotte - It kind of looks like the good Queen is getting blown off her pedestal by some jet exhaust. (05/25/07)

Gnorm and Baby James - Gnorm and Baby James sort of hit it off, what with both of them being little people and all. (05/26/07)

Gnome Train - The Amtrak Cascades pulls into Seattle and Gnorm considers getting on board. (05/27/07)

Gnorm's Short Haul Transport - Gnorm has his very own special made foam lined travel case, but for quick, short trips he rides in Donna's purse. (05/27/07)

Gnorm, an Eagle and the Space Gneedle - The red object in the background is Alexander Calder's Eagle sculpture completed in 1971 and weighs 6 tons. The tall pointy thing is the Space Gneedle and was built for the 1962 World's Fair and weighs 9,550 tons. It is impolite to ask a gnome his age or weight.... (05/27/07)

Naked Pigs - These pigs created quite a stir in Snohomish when this BBQ place opened up. Gnorm wanted to see what all the hulabaloo was about. (05/28/07)

Gnorm Horsing Around - With Gnorm's size and weight he would make a perfect jockey, if only these horses didn't get so sweaty when they ran. (05/28/07)

Gnorm and the Chained Up Giant Rooster - Of course roosters don't sweat, so Gnorm could ride them, but this one was chained up so he couldn't get very far. (05/26/07)

Gnorm Enjoys A Canadian 7UP - A refreshing drink is enjoyed on the inside balcony of the Aston Pacific Inn, Surrey, BC Canada. (05/29/07)

Gnorm and White Rock - The reason the town of White Rock, BC got its name 50 years ago. I guess it was white-ish in the beginning, but now they paint it white every year. (05/29/07)

Gnorm the Mountie - Sargent Gnorm of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police at your service - We always get our gnome. (05/30/07)

Mr. Gnorm Goes To Parliment - Victoria is the capital of Province of British Columbia, Canada and has this big ol' Parlimentary House to prove it. (05/31/07)

Gnorm and Hurricane Ridge - Hurricane Ridge in the Olympic Gnational Park is well worth the 18 mile drive one way, but don't forget your little blue coat because it gets chilly up there. (05/31/07)

Gnorm and Snow - At the top of Hurricane Ridge in the Olympia Gnational Park there was still a bit of snow on the ground even though the temperature was near 70 degrees. (05/31/07)

Gnorms Ancestral Home - Elves aren't the only ones that live in hollow trees. Gnorm visits his childhood home on the Olympic peninsula in western Washington state. (05/31/07)

Gnorm and A Big Cedar - Seems like about every 100 miles anywhere you go in western Washington there is a sign pointing off the road proclaiming "Big Cedar Tree." We stopped at one. (06/01/07)

Gnorm Phones Home - Part way through the trip Gnorm got homesick, so he called home. Nobody answered, so he was a little despondent until we bought him a treat. (06/01/07)
