I Hate Fall!
Not really, but I do dislike one aspect of it. Like Sunday is the day before Monday, autumn is the season before winter and I really hate winter.

If it seems that this blog is slow to load, it is the fault of Enetation Must be a server shortfall again. It seems as if their web site is MIA. Another one bites the dust.
One a good British note is Scaryduck, not that he needs any plug from me as he was just voted best British Blog or something and has got a note right there at the top of the Blogger home page. One look and “the blog that was nearly on the telly” will be right up there on your must read list, it is on mine.
Backed the Miata out of the garage to make it easier to clean some shelves in the garage. I put the top up to keep out the leaves and any other tree debris that might fall in the cockpit. Damn, now that I said that word it reminded me that I should have used the cockpit cover….
Didn’t watch any of my birthday movies yet. We are right in the middle a “The Sopranos” marathon. We don’t get HBO, so we rent the DVDs when they come out. Season 3 was recently released and I timed my Netflix rentals so that I could get all four discs at around the same time. Thursday, 1& 2 arrived and today the other two were in the mailbox. We watched 1 episode on Thursday and 3 more on Friday. Today was 5 more episodes and we will probably watch the last 4 tomorrow.

Instead of Outback, we ended up at the Big Easy Cafe in next parking lot over. Donna & I used to live in New Orleans about a dozen or years ago and this is as close as we can get to the food we loved so back then. Unfortunately every time we eat there the experience gets worse. For what ever reason they have never been able to cook rice right, it comes out all puffed and split. We now know not to get anything with rice, but that severely limits the entrees. Today was the last straw, the first 2 items Donna tried to order that didn’t have and don’t plan on having anymore (they could at least cross them off the menu.) My french fries were cold. And worst of all the fucked up the loaded potato skin appetizer – they covered half with sour cream and the other half with guacamole. Unfortunately the guacamole was kind of watery making it look a lot like baby diarrhea.
Did you know that Outback isn’t open for lunch? I sure didn’t. Oh, well, we resheduled our dining down-under until Sunday afternoon. I hope it rains hard the whole weekend, I’ve got a bunch of movies to watch. Mother-in-law gave me Die Hard & Lord of the Rings on DVD for my birthday. My wife gave me A Hard Days Night and the combo of Koyaanisqatsi & Powaqqatsi.

Well tomorrow we will reap the rewards of working an extra hour each day this week, 1/2 day off. We are going to go to Outback for lunch, because it is my birthday and that’s where I wanted to go. I’m going to get a Blooming Onion, mmmm, and a big ol’ slab of kangaroo, grilled to perfection….

Actually there are hundreds of horses in this town, unfortunately not enough of them shop at Staples in the evening. Because maybe if more of them did, Staples would close a little later than 8:00! Needed envelopes to mail off the Master’s Miata Club newsletter, so I piled into the car and drove over at 8:15. I knew I was in trouble when I pulled into the lot and it was nearly empty. Almost went over to Wal*Mart, but came to my senses and went to K-Mart instead.
