Was me crashing down from 40,000′ just like Oceanic Flight 815 (Sidney to LA.)
Last night was a new episode of TDTVS and true to my decision, I didn’t watch it. I was going to wait until September and watch the DVD of Season 2 in it’s entirety. Donna, who has less will power, watched it in the other room, while I wasted time on the internet with Radio Paradise playing softly in the background to mask any dialog leakage.
I’m not saying I’ve been a saint all this time either, I have pumped co-workers for a few details of what has been happening and I have peeked at a few screen captures from Season2 on some fan sites.
After talking with one friend/fan at work during break this afternoon, I fell off the wagon. I spent the next 45 minutes reading the synopsis of the first 12 episodes of Season 2 on the official ABC site.

I watched a few episodes of Lost last season. I just can’t bring myself to watch it anymore it’s too ridiculous and it can suck me in much too easily.

I almost gave up about 15 minutes in. I bought into them surviving a 40,000 foot freefall because I would like to think that if I was ever in that situation on the way down I could believe that I still had a chance to live through it. But when they showed a giant turbofan jet engine all by itself on the beach and it was still running full throttle, which I know is impossible, I found my finger hovering over the stop button on the remote. Then to make matters worse, a person gets sucked into the engine, which causes a huge fireball, I know I sighed audibly. Only Donna telling me to keep watching keep me in the room. But now I’m hooked like a trophy sailfish. It is kind of like a mix of Survivor and a soap opera with good looking people with interesting back stories.

“…a giant turbofan jet engine… …still running full throttle…” and “…a person gets sucked into the engine…”
You’re serious aren’t you? OMG! I can’t believe that my best friend of twenty-five years watches this show with that sort of stupidity. It must be the women that keep drawing the guys in. It must be.
Something that I refuse to believe is that the big fat guy hasn’t LOST any weight. What in the hell is that guy finding to eat that keeps him so fat?

Hurley has a secret stash of Milky Way bars that Sawyer hasn’t found yet or perhaps he is being feed by “The Others” đŸ˜‰
