Yesterday I called Atlantic Broadband and had them stop our cable TV subscription. They hated to see us go, they offered $20 off a month and they offered a bundled deal. No thanks.
We’re still keeping the cable internet. The CSR asked if we want to upgrade to the faster internet service? It’s only $5 more a month, but you need one of our modems that you can rent for $6 a month or buy for $90. No thanks.
Right now with a cheap set of rabbit ears we get the big 4 commercial networks, three of them have sub-channels and one has two. So that’s ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CW (minor league network), My12 (old TV shows), MeTV (really old TV shows), Bounce (geared towards African-American viewers), and The Country Network (music videos.) All of them come in excellent, except for FOX & Bounce which gets pretty pixelated sometimes. There is absolutely no PBS/ETV. In an effort to overcome those shortcomings I ordered a Leaf, should be here next week.
