Sorry I didn’t post anything last night, but I was too busy admiring myself in my new hat.
I made it 30 minutes into the season premier of The Sarah Conner Chronicles before giving up tonight. Credibility was stretched too far, snapped and I was returned to reality. I can bring myself to believe that killer robots have been sent back from the future to kill an individual that threatens them in the future, but I can not believe that that individual can be involved in an auto accident at 35 MPH while not wearing a seat belt, get out of the car and trot off down the street. Alright, maybe I could have gone for that, but not after they show a close up of his pant leg and it looks like a river of blood running down it, apparently caused by a compound fracture. Followed by that leg practically collapsing when he first puts his full weight on it, then 2 baby steps later he takes off running at 15 MPH.
That was just one of several things that made me wince. But if I remember correctly I may have had the same trouble when I first started watching this series last year. Maybe I just need to be in the mood?

It is a good looking hat.
I’m an SF fan, but couldn’t get into the Terminator and haven’t even tried the chronicles. I’m more of an old school SF fan. Star Trek, Star Wars (even though it really wasn’t SF). Some of the old movies. Even Lost in Space. The newer stuff is mostly too bloody and for very little reason.
It shouldn’t all be about war.

I needed something to coordinate with my khaki and olive drab cargo shorts.
ST:TOS was a big part of my early love of sci-fi, but I can no longer watch the show, seems to old. I tried to watch Lost In Space recently with disastrous results.
It shouldn?t all be about war. That’s why I enjoyed Firefly, not a lot of gun play (except for maybe one episode), but always in context of the story.

Firefly was good. My kids gave me the DVD of the series and the movie after it was already gone. A lot of the same “in your face” attitude and swagger from ST: TOS. Those two captains were good. Part of why I didn’t like TNG as much.

While I can no longer really watch ST:TOS, I kinda gag every time I stumble on an episode of ST:TNG. I did like Voyager some and Enterprise I’ve never seen as it didn’t play in my 5 local channel market. I will probably go see JJ Abrams revival of Kirk & crew next year, unless every review, professional and fanboy, say it sucks.
