Maybe Tomorrow
Maybe tomorrow. Or maybe Saturday. If not, Sunday. But I’m shooting for tomorrow. Really.

Top stayed up again today. If this trend maintains it may just work out that there will have been exactly one top transition for every day in the year by the time February 1st rolls around.
Tonight’s feature was “Lilo & Stitch” and we only made it through about half way before turning it off. Can’t really explain it, except it just didn’t seem like fun. Give me Dumbo any day.
Started up, still up.

In an effort to winnow down the stack of DVDs on the coffee table we are going to try and watch a movie every night until we can’t stand it anymore. Tonight we watched a movie called “The Price of Milk” whose write up on the Netflix< site made it sound a lot less quirky that it really was. It was a movie from New Zealand and I understood it about as much as I understand about the mammalian life forms found down there, that is to say very little. I'm sure some folks would have been able to see through the quirky scenes and derived the proper symbolism from them, but I not me. On a positive note, it made last night's "Happy Accidents” seem positively mainstream…
Finally broke down and put the top up. We made a late evening store run and even with the windblocker it would have been too cold to enjoy the trip. Besides tomorrow morning will be in the 20’s….
With the breakfast trip Friday and yesterday’s lunch run, that makes 3 short trips in three days, probably less that 10 miles total.
We spent most this weekend indoors watching DVD movies. M*A*S*H, This is Spinal Tap, American Beauty, Shawshank Redemption, My Fellow Americans and Blue Streak. Lots of comedy there, even in the couple of dramas on that list. The first 3 are from my growing collection and the others are from friends at work, two others and I have started our own little DVD swap club. 6 down and 11 to go. I have my full quota of 4 from Netflix sitting on the coffee table, along with 1 from work and 6 left of the recent arrivals from Columbia House.
Started down, went up, still up.

Followed along behind someone who was using the phone in his car this evening. The speed limit on the 2-lane road we were on was 55, but we were traveling along seesawing between 40-45 mph and occasionally he managed to stay in his lane. Naturally there was enough traffic coming the other direction so that passing was impossible the few times I had a dashed line. When we got to the four lane portion of the drive I of course zipped right on by, Donna looked over and reported it was a 20-something male. We think that 60+ drivers suck now, wait another 40 years when this generation gets there. At least today’s seniors don’t have a phone to their ear to go along with the poorer sight and reflexes.
Just saw this Bud Light commercial during West Wing tonight. Both my wife and I thought it was quite funny, not enough to make me want a Bud Light, but funny. Used to be able to link to a place called Adcritic.com so you could see commercials, but they were over run with freeloaders (like me,) so now they charge for access.
I did manage to find a place to view it the Commercial Closet. It bills itself as “The World’s Largest Collection of Gay Advertising”. The Stranger They dis the commercial because of the lecherous old man at the end and it also fails to take into consideration the feelings of cross-dressers and transsexuals. Crap, nothing is politically correct anymore.
We needed light bulbs this evening so we ducked into a grocery store to pick up a couple. Not familiar with this particular store we had to wander down several aisles before locating our prey. The first aisle we went down contains cleaning fluids. About 15 linear feet of shelves from bottom to top were filled with Dawn, in a half dozen colors. Just how many flavors of this stuff do you need?
Turns out there are actually 8 different types of Dawn in a veritable rainbow of colors. To find out which one is right for you, go HERE are on the left-hand side is a pop-up quiz you can take.
